Banarhat, 18th July: Hundreds of parents gathered at the Sarwan Memorial School in Banarhat, on Thursday, demanding waiver of tuition fees for the lockdown period.
As per allegations, the parents and guardians tried to discuss the matter with the school management several times but the latter paid no heed to their request. Only when the parents sought help from the administration, a meeting with the school was possible. But, unfortunately, the meeting was unfruitful and this agitated the parents.
In this context, School Supervisor Vidur Aggarwal stated that the school fees cannot be waived, however, the fare of buses including computer fees, examination fees will be reduced by 50 percent. He further advised the parents struggling economically to discuss the matter with the school management.
