Panitanki’s Shyama Pragati Sangha begins grand Kali Puja preparations

Kharibari, 18th October: The Shyama Pragati Sangha at Panitanki in Kharibari has commenced preparations for Kali Puja with a ceremonial ‘Khutti Puja.’ This year, the club’s theme is inspired by the Akshardham Temple in Gujarat.

Reportedly, the club drew significant attention with a replica of Dubai’s Burj Khalifa last year. This year, they aim to create an illustrative representation of the Akshardham Temple. In addition to this, the pavilion will feature a laser lighting display from Kolkata and decorative lighting from Chandan Nagar.

The organizers claim that the pavilion will stand out among the puja setups in Siliguri and North Bengal. Shyama Pragati Sangha’s secretary, Sanjeev Barman, also mentioned that there will be performances of Purulia’s Chhau dance and various cultural and social events throughout the celebrations.
