Siliguri, 22nd May: In view of the soaring outbreak of the second wave of coronavirus, Panitanki Traffic Guard took to the streets to make common people aware of the fatal virus and measures to contain it.
During the campaign, masks and soaps were distributed among the people in the Kumartuli area by the police. They also distributed packets of biscuits to the children.
The Panitanki Traffic Guard personnel explained the importance of wearing masks and washing hands with soaps amid the pandemic. While urging the people to follow government laid COVID-19 protocols, the police requested the people not to leave the house without masks.
