Siliguri, 12th April: Matigara – No. 2 Gram Panchayat Trinamool Pradhan Mamata Singh has been accused of not providing any government assistance to the residents of the Tulsi Nagar area during the lockdown.
The Panchayat Pradhan has been accused of being bias while distributing ration. The locals also accused her of not visiting Tulsi Nagar even once during the lockdown.
When the Siliguri Times representative tried to get a response from the Panchayat Pradhan on the charge, Singh could not be contacted but instead her husband Ram Singh spoke on the whole issue.
Ram Singh denied all charges and claimed them to be baseless. He stated that the rations are being supplied to all the areas and every problem is being looked into. He said that efforts are being made to provide ration to everyone.
