Rajganj, 28th January: Under the second phase of the ‘Banglar Bari’ Rural Housing Scheme, around 4,241 beneficiaries in Rajganj will receive houses. The first installment of financial assistance for the second phase was distributed on Wednesday at a programme held at the Rajganj BDO office, where approval letters were handed over to the beneficiaries.
The event was attended by Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy, Rajganj Panchayat Samiti Sabhapati Rupali Dey Sarkar, Saha-Sabhapati Kabita Chhetri Saibo, BDO Sourabh Kanti Mandal, Ranbir Majumdar, Uttara Barman, Arindam Banerjee, along with other block administration officials.
According to administrative sources, beneficiaries from Panikauri and Sukhani Gram Panchayats under Rajganj block received approval letters for ₹60,000 as the first installment of the second phase of the Banglar Bari scheme. The amount will be credited to their bank accounts by Wednesday evening. Beneficiaries expressed happiness after receiving the first installment for the initial phase of house construction.
On the same day, the MLA also inaugurated a decorated ‘Banglar Bari’ tableau, which will travel across different villages in the Rajganj block to spread awareness about the scheme.
