Kharibari, 07th April: A horrifying mishap surfaced where four occupants of a motorbike met with an accident on an under-construction iron bridge in Dara Box of Kharibari. The incident led to the death of an individual, while three others sustained significant injuries.
According to reports, on Saturday night, four individuals were travelling toward Buraganj on a motorbike from Naxalbari. During this, the bike accidentally collided with the barricade of the under-construction bridge and the motorbike fell into the river. Meanwhile, the four youths were critically injured in the incident. Subsequently, the locals informed the matter to the police.
Upon receiving the news, Naxalbari police arrived at the spot, rescued the injured, and rushed to Naxalbari Hospital, where the doctors declared one dead, while the other three were further referred to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). Currently, the Naxalbari police are engaged in further investigation of the incident.
