Islampur, 28th January: One person was killed and another critically injured in a collision between a motorcycle and vehicle in Islampur of Uttar Dinajpur district.
The deceased has been identified as Paresh Debnath. He was a resident of Barat area of Islampur police station. According to local sources, a vehicle advancing from Siliguri lost control and collided with a bike, killing Paresh on the spot. Meanwhile, another person was also seriously injured.
The Islampur police reached the spot as soon as receiving the news and recovered the body and sent it for postmortem. Police are investigating the entire incident.
