Rajganj, 20th January: Havoc ensued after an elephant attack in Nirpania village of Saraswatipur Tea Garden of Rajganj. The attack claimed the life of a person.
Reportedly, the deceased who has been identified as Bablu Oraon (40), used to work as a night security guard in the said tea garden. Bablu was returning home on Thursday evening after working on his nearby land in Takimari when the elephant attacked and killed him.
On Friday morning, the forest workers recovered the dead body of Bablu Oraon. Bablu Oraon was the sole breadwinner of the family. Meanwhile, the family and the locals have demanded from the Forest Department, proper compensation and employment for any one member of the family.
