Phansidewa, 19th July: An incident of mishap surfaced from Ghoshpukur at the National Highway (NH) 31 under Phansidewa. The driver of the car was severely injured in the incident.
As per reports, a car on its way toward Siliguri from Islampur lost control and collided with the guard wall of the Ghoshpukur flyover. Following the high-speed crash, the driver was injured. Upon receiving the news of the incident, Ghoshpukur Traffic Guard and Ghoshpukur Outpost Police arrived at the spot.
Subsequently, the injured driver was rescued and sent to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for medical attention. Due to the incident, traffic in the area came to a standstill. Later, the four-wheeler was removed by the police with the help of a crane and the movement of vehicles resumed. Meanwhile, the police initiated an investigation to ascertain the cause of the accident.
