Kharibari, 07th June: A driver was injured in a head-on collision between a pickup van and a car on the state highway in the Rupan Jote area of Kharibari.
Reportedly, the incident occurred on Friday when a pickup loaded with pineapples, traveling from Bidhan Nagar towards Kharibari, collided with a Maruti car heading from Kharibari to Ghoshpukur. The impact caused both vehicles to overturn.
Locals rushed to the scene upon hearing the loud noise and assisted the injured pickup van driver, who was then taken to Kharibari Rural Hospital. Kharibari police arrived shortly after the incident and have started an investigation.
