Alipurduar, 27th February: A horrifying mishap unfolded after an individual sustained significant injuries in a leopard attack in Karji Para area of Dalgaon Basti of Jateswar Anchal-1 under Alipurduar district. The injured individual has been identified as Gorachand Karji.
According to reports, on Tuesday morning, Gorachand had gone out for cattle grazing to the river bank near his house when a leopard emerged from the bamboo groves and attacked him. Upon hearing his scream, the locals arrived at the spot; however, the leopard had fled the scene.
Following the incident, the injured Gorachand was rescued and rushed to the Birpara Hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
