Siliguri, 09th March: One person was killed in a tragic road accident on the Shiv Mandir National Highway adjacent to Siliguri on Monday.
As per the locals, the mishap took place near the Shiv Mandir Petrol Pump late at night, when the deceased while crossing the above-mentioned highway got hit by a speeding truck.
The incident was reported to the Bagdogra police station. The police recovered the body and sent it to the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem. The police are engaged in further investigation.
