One dead in road accident as two vehicles collide in Rajganj

Rajganj, 19th November: One person was killed in a collision between two vehicles on Tuesday evening at Gokulbhita village on the Ambari-Sahudangi state road in Rajganj. The deceased has been identified as Narayan Acharya (60), a resident of the same village.


According to local sources, Narayan owned a shop at Binnaguri More, Ambari. On Tuesday afternoon, as usual, he left his shop riding a scooter, heading home. Just as he reached near his house, a speeding bike hit his scooter from behind, causing him to fall onto the road.

He was rushed by family members and locals to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH), where doctors declared him dead. His death has cast a shadow of grief over the area.


Police from Bhorer Alo Police Station later reached the spot and recovered the two vehicles involved in the accident. An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the collision.
