Raiganj, 15th February: A lottery seller died after being hit by a lorry in the Govindpur area of Raiganj Police station in North Dinajpur district. The deceased has been identified as Montaz Ali (35).
According to local sources, Montaz Ali was waiting for a bus in the Govindpur area of Raiganj Police station in the Raiganj-Balurghat National Highway 10, on Friday night. Suddenly, a lorry, traveling towards Balurghat, lost its control and hit him, due to which, he was severely injured. After the incident, the locals rushed him to the Raiganj Government Medical College-Hospital. On Saturday, Montaz Ali succumbed to his injuries. The Raiganj Police are currently investigating the entire incident.
