Siliguri, 25th September: A scooty rider died after being hit by a pickup van today at Champasari More. The deceased has been identified as Sailesh Chhetri.
Reportedly, the deceased was heading towards Nivedita Market from Champasari More on a scooty when a pickup van coming from the State House lost control and rammed into the scooty. The scooty rider fell on the road and died on the spot.
Upon receiving the information, the Pradhan Nagar police reached the spot and recovered the body and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem. Police have started an investigation of the entire incident.
