Naxalbari, 10th October: A one-day football tournament was organized at Baramaniram Jote of Naxalbari. The tournament was held to encourage sports among primary school students.
As per reports, under the initiative of Baramaniram Jote Primary School. The tournament comprised two trophies including Martyr Suresh Chhetri Memorial Winners Trophy and Ramgopal Acharya Runners-Up Trophy. The event witnessed the active participation of 12 primary schools in Naxalbari.
The event was graced by Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad Sabhadhipati Arun Ghosh, Panchayat Samiti Assistant President Sajani Subba, Chairman of Siliguri Prathamik Shiksha Parishad Dilip Kumar Roy and other delegates.
Speaking at the event, Sabhadhipati of Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad stated that such a tournament will be held in the upcoming days across the district to increase the interest of students towards sports.
