Siliguri, 27th June: While the Siliguri Mahakma Parishad election was underway, a person was arrested with an illegal country-made pistol at Bagdogra Airport. The accused has been identified as Mohammad Rahanuddin a resident of Katihar.
Reportedly, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) apprehended Mohammad and questioned him. He claimed that he was travelling to Chennai from Bagdogra for treatment. Upon searching him CISF recovered a country-made pistol from his possession and handed him to Bagdogra police. Today the accused was produced in the Siliguri court. Police are investigating the entire incident.
