Siliguri, 20th September: In a significant breakthrough, the undercover cops of Pradhan Nagar Police Station recovered a huge quantity of cannabis from the Shib Nagar area adjacent to Darjeeling More in Siliguri. Following this, an individual identified as Bhola Sarkar, originally a resident of Balurghat, was arrested.
As per reports, Bhola has been living on rent in a house located in the Shib Nagar area adjacent to Darjeeling More of Siliguri for a long time. From the house, he coordinated the drug racket. On Tuesday night, acting on a tip-off, the undercover cops of the Pradhan Nagar police station launched an operation in the house located in the said area and recovered 1 kg 299 grams of cannabis. Subsequently, Bhola Sarkar was arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. At present, police are engaged in further investigation.
