Naxalbari, 02nd October: In a significant breakthrough, police apprehended an individual with brown sugar at Hatighisa More in Naxalbari. The accused has been identified as Mohammad Hasinul (35), a resident of Sukanta Pally under the Pradhan Nagar police station of Siliguri.
According to reports, acting on a tip-off, Naxalbari police apprehended a scooty rider at Hatighisa More. Upon initiating a search, 309 grams of brown was recovered from his possession. The accused was on his way from Siliguri to Panitanki in Kharibari with the intention of delivering the brown sugar.
On Monday, the accused was produced before the Siliguri court, while, police are engaged in a detailed investigation of the incident.
