Naxalbari, 19th January: The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) personnel arrested an individual and rescued 18 cattle and 4 buffaloes by conducting operations in two different locations of Tarabari and Nayabasti on the Indo-Nepal border of Naxalbari. The arrested accused has been identified as Mohammad Anjarul, a resident of Totaram Jote in Naxalbari.
As per reports, the personnel of the 8th battalion of SSB launched an operation in Tarabari on the Indo-Nepal border and arrested the individual with 10 cattle and 4 buffaloes. In addition, the SSB personnel also rescued 8 more cattle from the Nayabasti area.
Subsequently, the arrested youth along with the rescued cattle and buffaloes were handed over to Naxalbari police. On Friday, the accused has been presented in the Siliguri Divisional Court. At present, the police are investigating the entire incident.
