Siliguri, 02nd July: In a significant achievement, the police have arrested the one in connection to the recent theft at a temple located at the Bansbari area and recovered the stolen items. The arrested accused has been identified as Gautam Adhikari, a resident of Thakurnagar BJP Colony.
According to reports, two days prior, a theft occurred at a Shiva temple in the said area located under the jurisdiction of the NJP police station. The incident led to local residents expressing their frustration with the police.
Following the investigation, the NJP police arrested the accused on Thursday night and the stolen temple bell was recovered from his possession. On Friday, the accused was presented in the Jalpaiguri court while the police continue to investigate the case.
