Siliguri, 04th October: The Bhakti Nagar police have arrested a man on charges of fraud. The accused has been identified as Viman Adhikari, a resident of Madhavpur Kumarganj.
According to reports, the complainant Subrata Adhikari, a resident of Vidyachakra Colony under Ward No. 44, alleged that three years ago he sold a car to Viman Adhikari. However, the payment process turned fraudulent. Subrata reported that he received only ₹15,000 out of ₹3 lakh, and the remaining amount has not been paid.
Subsequently, Subrata filed a written complaint at the Bhakti Nagar police station. Following the investigation, police arrested the accused and presented him in Jalpaiguri court on Friday. At present, the entire incident is under further investigation.
