Siliguri, 13th September: The cops of Matigara Police Station arrested a notorious miscreant, identified as Ramji Saha, on the charge of theft at an army canteen in Siliguri.
As per police sources, on September 10, several food items were stolen from an army canteen located in Siliguri’s Matigara. The following day, a complaint was filed at the Matigara Police Station on behalf of the army. On the basis of this, the undercover cops of Matigara Police Station initiated an investigation into the theft.
Within 24 hours of the complaint, Ramji was arrested from the Masjid Para area of Bagdogra. Later, after a detailed interrogation of the accused, police also recovered the stolen food items. The accused was produced before the Siliguri court today for further course of action.
