Siliguri, 15th September: The NJP police arrested one person, identified as Govinda Mahato, on the charges of burglary. The incident surfaced from the Jabravita Primary School in the South Shantinagar area, on Sunday night.
Reportedly, the school’s lock was found broken and gas cylinders, mid-day meal rice, and various other valuables are missing. On Monday, the school authorities lodged a complaint at the NJP police station. Based on this, the police launched investigations and got hold of the accused on Monday night.
According to police sources, the accused has various past theft records. Govinda Mahato was produced before the Jalpaiguri court on Tuesday.
