Siliguri, 17th March: In a significant breakthrough, the Panitanki Outpost police have arrested a youth accused in a theft case within 24 hours. The arrested accused has been identified as MD Rakesh (20).
According to police sources, an incident of theft was reported from the Gauri Shankar Market on Friday night where utensils and mobile phones worth about Rs 50 thousand were stolen. Subsequently, a complaint was filed at the Panitanki Outpost on Saturday.
During the investigation, the cops of Panitanki Outpost detained MD Rakesh based on suspicion. Upon interrogation, the police learned MD Rakesh’s involvement in the case. Following this, the police recovered the stolen items. On Sunday, the police presented the accused before the Siliguri court.
