Siliguri, 03rd January: Stir ensued after a person went violent injuring two people in Siliguri. Bikram Das and his associates assaulted two people in Siliguri’s Ward No. 15, in which both people sustained severe injuries. After the incident, Bappi Banik, one of the victims of the incident, lodged a written complaint against the assaulter, Bikram Das, and his accomplices at the Panitanki Out Post.
After the complaint, the police of Panitanki Out Post arrested a youth while investigating the matter. The arrested youth has been identified as Vishwaroop Paul. Police today produced accused Vishwaroop Paul in Siliguri court and took him into remand for 5 days.
According to the police sources, the main accused of this incident, Bikram Das, is still absconding, and police are conducting a search by tracking his mobile location.
