Alipurduar, 27th January: During a press conference, today, the Superintendent of Police, Amitabh Maiti, informed that the Police have arrested the accused involved in the Alipurduar firing incident. The arrested accused has been identified as Biplav Basak.
It was alleged that Bapi Pandit was shot dead by Biplav Basak in the Arabinda Pally area of Alipurduar, on January 23. The accused has been taken on police remand for 10 days after he was presented in the Alipurduar court, today.
