One arrested for using mobile phone during the West Bengal Constable Police examination

Siliguri, 17th February: The Pradhan Nagar Police of the Siliguri Metropolitan arrested a youth on charges of cheating during an examination for the post of constables, with the help of a mobile phone. The arrested youth has been identified as Biswajit Barman, a resident of Cooch Behar.


According to the information, the Siliguri West Bengal Constable Police’s written examination was scheduled on Sunday. Meanwhile, the police recovered a mobile phone and SIM card from the said youth’s possession during the examinations at the Siliguri Deshbandhu Hindi High School located in Ward No. 3, Gurung Basti area. The police stated that no candidate is allowed to carry a mobile phone inside the examination center, despite which, the accused youth was caught using a mobile phone. The police have presented the accused youth in the Siliguri court and are further investigating the matter.
