Siliguri, 14th March: Police arrested a youth for attempting to molest a teen in the Jabrabhita area under the New Jalpaiguri Police station. The arrested individual has been identified as Bikash Roy.
According to the information, the family members of the victim accused Bikash of attempting to molest the girl on the occasion of Holi. In this context, the family members of the victim lodged a complaint at the NJP Police station. However, the accused individual was absconding ever since the incident.
Based on a tip-off, the NJP Police launched a campaign and arrested Bikash, on Friday night. The accused was presented at the Jalpaiguri court, today.
