Siliguri, 13th July: The owner of a pub involved in a brawl on Sevoke Road in Siliguri was arrested by the Bhaktinagar police station and presented in Jalpaiguri court today. The individual in custody has been identified as Bijay Sarkar.
According to reports, tensions escalated in the area on July 08 following a dispute between employees of two pubs on Sevoke Road over a trivial matter. Subsequently, the manager of one of the pubs lodged a written complaint at the Bhaktinagar police station. Acting upon the complaint, the Bhaktinagar police apprehended Bijay Sarkar, the owner of the pub, last night.
