Siliguri, 27th July: The NJP police arrested the notorious thief, Sanjay Roy, alias Laden, in connection with a series of burglaries at four residences in Fulbari.
According to reports, on Friday afternoon, four residences in the Jayanagar Colony and Dhakia Basti areas of Fulbari-II Gram Panchayat were targeted by thieves. The matter was reported to the NJP police station and the police officers initiated an investigation into the entire incident. Subsequently, Sanjay Roy was arrested based on the complaint. During the arrest, the police recovered stolen items including cell phones, gold jewellery, and silver ornaments from the possession of the thief.
Police sources revealed that the accused is a repeat offender with multiple criminal charges against him. On Saturday, he was produced before the Jalpaiguri Court while the police are engaged in a further investigation.
