Siliguri, 01st May: The Panitanki Outpost police have successfully apprehended a notorious thief responsible for a series of thefts in Siliguri. The accused has been identified as Rahul Sah, a resident of Durga Colony in Ward No. 04 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation.
Police sources revealed that the accused stole AC wires from five houses on April 29, leading to widespread concern. Prompt action was taken after a formal complaint was lodged on April 30, leading to Rahul Sah’s arrest within 24 hours of the report. During this, a substantial quantity of stolen AC wires was also recovered.
On Wednesday, Rahul Sah was presented before the Siliguri court as part of ongoing legal proceedings. Meanwhile, the police initiated an investigation into the entire case.
