Siliguri, 23rd March: Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the traders have started selling food items, especially rice, at high prices in several places. Due to this, the prices of goods have increased significantly. However, the exact opposite of that was witnessed in Siliguri’s Bidhan Market. Not more than one sack of rice is being provided by the traders in Bidhan Market.
It is being reported that many people are buying more than 3-4 sacks of rice at once. The traders of the Bidhan Market have decided to provide not more than one sack of rice to each person. Two traders named Kinker Saha and Khokan Saha stated that people have started storing rice in their house, so, not more than one sack of rice will be provided to anyone. If needed, people can buy rice from the shop. They further stated that the rice will be sold at the original price and no extra amount will be charged.
