Siliguri, 20th August: The North Bengal Student Convention was organized on August 28 as a preparatory meeting for the foundation day of Trinamool Chhatra Parishad.
The student convention was organized on Friday at Shaktigarh Rabindra Mancha with activists and supporters of Trinamool Chhatra Parishad of eight districts in North Bengal. The initiative was taken under the leadership of Darjeeling District Trinamool Chhatra Parishad president Nirnay Roy.
The convention was inaugurated by the administrator of Siliguri Municipal Corporation Goutam Deb. BoA member Ranjan Sarkar, Darjeeling district Trinamool Congress president Papia Ghosh, student council state president Trinankur Bhattacharya, West Bengal, and North Bengal Trinamool Congress leaders were present at the programme.
It has been learned that discussions were held regarding the Foundation day of Trinamool Chhatra Parishad on August 28. The student leaders addressed the meeting.
Goutam Deb said that August 28 is the foundation day of Trinamool Chhatra Parishad. This programme will be held virtually keeping in mind the COVID situation.
