Rajganj, 31st March: The Secretary of the North Bengal Industries Association Surajit Pal and Rajganj MLA Khageshwar Roy handed over ration to the tea garden workers of the Fatinga Line and Talma Line of Shikarpur under Rajganj block. As per the report, such an initiative has been taken for the workers without ration cards.
In this regard, Secretary Surajit Pal stated that ration was handed over to 105 workers and more such initiatives will be taken in various areas of the Rajganj block. He further stated that they aim to help 1000 poor families during the entire lockdown period.
Rajganj Panchayat Samiti President Purnima Roy, Shikar Gram Panchayat Pradhan Amalendu Bhowmick and many other dignitaries were present during the programme.
