Rajganj, 05th October: The streetlights situated next to Panikauri Gram Panchayat office in Fatapukur of Rajganj block has been out of order for a long time. As a result, the common people are facing extreme difficulties.
According to local sources, the said streetlights was installed on behalf of the Siliguri Jalpaiguri Development Authority (SJDA) around two years ago. After a year, the lights gradually began to shut down and have been completely blacked out for the past several months.
The pedestrians complained of facing problems walking at night. Panikauri gram panchayat Pradhan Alok Roy stated that the matter has been reported to the power department.
