Siliguri, 20th August: The NJP police arrested one person in the NJP truck stand accident case. The arrested accused has been identified as Noor Salam.
Incidentally, Vijay Paswan, a resident of Jabravita, was crushed to death under the wheels of a truck on August 16 at the NJP truck stand. The truck driver Noor Salam was absconding since the incident. After a written complaint was filed against him at the police station, the police started searching for him in different places.
Finally, the police arrested Noor Salam from Fulbari on Friday morning. He was produced at the Jalpaiguri court today.
