Siliguri, 08th February: NJP police acted swiftly to recover a bag stolen from an NBSTC bus within just 15 minutes and returned it to its rightful owner, Dhupguri resident Manisha Toppo. The prompt action by the police has been widely appreciated.
According to sources, Manisha Toppo was travelling to Siliguri on an NBSTC bus when the theft took place. After reaching NJP, she realised that her bag was missing and immediately approached the NJP police station to lodge a complaint.
Following the complaint, NJP police quickly reviewed CCTV footage and identified that the bag had been taken off the bus near the Tinbatti More area.
Acting on specific inputs, the police traced the accused and successfully recovered the stolen bag.
Manisha Toppo thanked the NJP police for their quick and effective response, stating that such timely action strengthens public trust in the police administration.
