Siliguri, 17th February: Based on a tip-off, the NJP police, on Tuesday night, launched operations and arrested a man along with 66 cartoons of illegal liquor. The arrested accused has been identified as Munishwar Gop.
As per the report, Munishwar Gop had been running an illegal liquor business at his residence in Kashmir colony near Tinbatti More for a long time. The liquor used to be smuggled to Bihar by importing it from different states.
The market value of the recovered liquor has been estimated to be around 1 lakh 60 thousand rupees. The arrested individual was produced at the Jalpaiguri court on Wednesday.
