Siliguri, 28th July: NJP Police recovered a stolen mobile phone and important documents and handed them over to its owner Samrat Roy. A person has also been arrested in the incident.
On June 12, a mobile phone, debit card, credit card, Aadhaar card, voter card and other valuable documents were stolen from the house of Samrat Roy, a resident of South Bharatnagar. A written complaint was lodged at NJP police station immediately. Based on the allegations, ASI Khagen Varman led the investigation into the incident and arrested a man named Debashish Das from Aurobindo pally area.
After questioning the accused, the police recovered the stolen items. On Wednesday, the items were handed over to Roy.
