Siliguri, 14th July: NJP police arrested five individuals suspected of planning anti-social activities. The arrested miscreants are identified as Manik Sarkar, Babu Roy, Prasenjit Barman, Atarul Haque, and Sameer Bhakta.
Acting on a tip-off, undercover officers from NJP police station conducted a raid on Saturday night in South Colony area, resulting in the arrests. Several sharp weapons were seized from the suspects during the operation.
According to police sources, the arrested individuals have multiple charges against them. They were presented in Jalpaiguri court on Sunday. Authorities are conducting a thorough investigation into the incident.
