Siliguri, 23rd November: NJP police arrested a person on the charges of burglary. The arrested accused has been identified as Gopal Karmakar.
Reportedly, the theft took place at Fulbari Battala Kali Mandir on November 12. Several items of the temple were stolen. After the incident, the temple authorities lodged a complaint at the NJP police station. Police launched investigations and arrested Karmakar from Junction Pati Colony on Monday. The stolen items were recovered from his residence. He was sent to Jalpaiguri court on Tuesday.
