Siliguri, 12th April: Ahead of West Bengal’s fifth phase polls on April 17, the NJP police arrested a youth with firearms, on Sunday. The arrested accused has been identified as Santosh Sahani (19). He was sent to Jalpaiguri court on Monday.
The NJP police arrested the youth from Sepahipara in Fulbari No. 02 area. A country made pistol and a round of ammunition were recovered from his possession.
The police administration is concerned about the frequent recovery of bombs and firearms from different places of the city before the election.
