Siliguri, 21st August: The NJP police arrested a youth on the charges of burglary. Stolen items were recovered from his possession. The arrested accused has been identified as Mohammad Jabbar Mian, a resident of Bihar. He lived at his in-law’s house in the Jatiyakali area.
It has been learned that several items including four pump machines were stolen from a resort in Jatiyakali near Fulbari on Tuesday. On Thursday, the resort authorities lodged a complaint at the NJP police station. Following which, the police launched investigations and arrested Mohammad Jabbar Mian from Jatiyakali on Saturday morning.
According to police sources, the accused youth was involved in various anti-social activities. He was sent to Jalpaiguri court today.
