Siliguri, 16th March: NJP police arrested a woman with a huge cache of cannabis from the Fulbari West Dhanatla area, on Tuesday. However, the name and address of the woman have not been revealed yet.
Reportedly, the locals noticed the aforementioned woman luring children with money to retrieve a packet from the Fulbari canal, which she had allegedly thrown away upon sighting some police officials in the area.
The locals intervened after they grew suspicious of the whole scenario. On receiving the news, the NJP police, in plain attire, rushed to the spot and nabbed the woman. The packet containing 10 kgs of cannabis was also recovered from her possesion. An investigation has been launched into the entire matter.
