Siliguri, 04th November: Based on a tip-off, the NJP police, on Tuesday, launched operations at Fulbari and rescued 9 cattle. Two men identified as Saddam Hossain and Tahbil Yafar were arrested in the incident. Both are residents of Uttar Dinajpur district. A pickup van has also been seized in the incident.
According to police sources, the duo had been smuggling cattle from Panjipara to Bangladesh illegally for a long time. The arrested individuals were produced before the Jalpaiguri court on Wednesday.
