Siliguri, 24th January: The NJP police arrested two men along with truck batteries, on Saturday. The arrested accused have been identified as Ujjwal Chowdhury and Sameer Yadav, residents of the Shantipara and Matigara area.
As per the report, the battery of a boulder-laden vehicle was stolen in the Fulbari border area. The vehicle owners lodged a written complaint in this regard at the NJP police station. Based on the complaint, the Police launched investigations in Noukaghat more and arrested two men along with 8 car batteries.
According to police sources, the duo used to trade old batteries. They were sent to Jalpaiguri court on Sunday. Police are investigating the whole incident.
