Siliguri, 28th August: The undercover police of NJP police station arrested three persons with sharp edged weapons. The accused have been identified as Swapan Sarkar, Sujit Mandal and Gapa Sarkar.
According to police sources, a gang of 10-12 miscreants with sharp weapons had gathered behind a temple in Thakurnagar. Police suspect the gang had assembled to carry out some criminal act. Based on a tip-off, the police launched a campaign and managed to nab 3 members of the gang. There have been allegations of anti-social activities against the accused in the past as well. They were produced in the Jalpaiguri court today.
