Siliguri, 05th June: The NJP police, based on a tip-off, launched an operation and recovered a huge cache of illegal country-made and domestic liquor. Mithun Das (39), a resident of the Bhaktinagar area of Siliguri, has been arrested in connection with the incident.
As per the report, the police campaigned in the nearby areas of Thakurnagar and IOC Gate late Friday night and recovered a substantial amount of liquor illegally being sold in a shop. The police nabbed Mithun Das, the owner of the shop. The accused was produced in the Jalpaiguri court today.
