Siliguri, 28th July: The NJP police arrested a man with firearms. The arrested accused has been identified as Bibhas Dutta, a resident of the Bhuttabari area under the NJP police station.
According to police sources, Dutta was arrested from the Ambikanagar underpass area on Tuesday night. Police recovered a cartridge along with a firearm from his possession.
According to the initial investigation, the police suspected that he had brought the firearm from Bihar for trade. He is said to have various past criminal records. The arrested individual was produced at the Jalpaiguri court on Wednesday.
